He has received a number of awards and recognitions for his contribution towards community such as the Rotary Foundation International Award, the Mother India International Award and the Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award. He has also received Dr. Nathan Davis International Award for his mind- blowing contribution to field of medicine and Medical Education. Dr. Mukkamala has also received the State of Michigan Distinguished Citizen Award.
